Welcome
to the website launched and designed initially (though
no longer exclusively) for owners of the "Fairline
Holiday" range of boats built between 1972 and 1984,
during which time a total of 594 were produced.
We have since welcomed membership from all small(ish)
boat owners. Please do not hesitate to browse the
site and if you are an owner of a Fairline Holiday,
or similar, please feel free to join. there is no
charge for membership.
The
aim of the club is to have sufficient members that
we can provide worthwhile discounts on replacement
parts, chandlery and insurance, share ideas and
experiences and build up a comprehensive database
of all the remaining Holidays.
We
have organised five meeting/rallies, one of which
was a visit to the Fairline factory at Oundle nr
Peterborough and in November '05 we met at Wroxham
on the Norfolk Broads which we repeated this year.
Next years meeting (2007) is sceduled to be held
in Holland, the home of Jaco and Annet who live
in Hoofdorp.
We
have been featured several times in "Boatmart" magazine
and have had an update on the site featured in "Boatmart
" in the March 2005 issue along with a very good
article on us in June of this year. (a link to the
article will be placed here soon) More recently
we contacted MBM (Motor boats Monthly) and Practical
Boat owner who both gave the club a mention in their
magazines.
We
have a Forum that holds a wealth of usefull information
related to all boat makes and types, along with
drawings/diagrams of electrical and mechanical installations
relevant to all boat makes and models.
We
appreciate that at present the site is only accesible
via the internet and we are looking at ways we can
attract members who may not have the use of a p.c.
For example by producing a quarterley news sheet
we can mail to these members. If you have any ideas
on this please post on the Forum. |
